It’s a beautiful spring day here in Boone, and the Appalachian State University Mountaineers are set to take on the Panthers of High Point University.
The Mountaineers enter today’s game with an overall record of 10-15.
The Panthers, hailing from the Big South Conference, hold a 7-15 record.
Taking the mound for Appalachian is freshman Seth Grant.
Grant holds a 7.71 ERA in five appearances so far this season.
He has yet to record a decision.
Brian Jones is starting the game for High Point.
He enters today with a record of 0-4 and and ERA of 7.36.
