The Appalachian State University softball team wraps up its weekend series with the College of Charleston today at Sywassink/Lloyd Family Stadium.
The Mountaineers (17-19, 9-5) defeated the Cougars in Saturday’s nine inning opener 8-7. Later in the day Charleston (12-19, 5-6) dominated Appalachian 7-2.

It took extra innings, but the Mountaineers claimed the victory in the bottom of the 11th, 4-3.
The win moved Appalachian to 11-15 on the season.
