Listening is an underappreciated skill.
Even I, who make a blog entry out of it, don’t always really pay attention to what I hear.
However, sometimes people say things that make you sit up and listen.
This week, I heard someone talking about a friend who had recently, unexpectedly died. I didn’t know how to react – I [...]

Spring Break
I hate Spring.
It is paradoxical that such a so-called pretty time of the year is so filled with horror, hatred, and other assorted ire, but what are you going to do?

Playing Through Pain
It’s gotten to that point in the year where school morale is akin to that of a funeral.
Main reason: football season ended like four months ago.
It doesn’t help, though, to turn on the TV and watch March Madness unfurl before us.
There are schools that no one but the team itself has heard of, [...]

After six innings, the Appalachian State University baseball team continues to lead Georgia Southern University.
The Eagles narrowed Appalachian’s lead to 2-1 in the fifth, but a solo home run by Appalachian catcher Jerod Faggart moved the score to 3-1.
